Forward Promise is the manifestation of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s $12 Million investment to promote the health and success of middle and high school-aged boys and young men of color. The initiative was originally developed and managed by Robert Wood Johnson Foundation staff. As a new National Program Office, we will approach the next phase of this important work with a focus on strengthening the villages that support BYMOC to heal from historic and systemic trauma. It will be an energizing place to exchange insights, talk about what works, connect with colleagues and hear the powerful voices of boys and young men of color who are healing, growing and thriving by connecting to their cultural roots and strengthening the positive relationships within their villages.
