BUILD, the support system for state leaders who seek to develop comprehensive systems of programs, policies, and services that meet the needs of young children and their families, in collaboration with the Child and Family Policy Center, a nonprofit research and advocacy organization promoting outcome- based policies that improve child well-being, established the Learning Collaborative on Health Equity and Young Children. The Learning Collaborative works to reduce health and early learning inequities and improve young children’s life trajectories. The Learning Collaborative seeks to strengthen and accelerate practice innovation and diffusion and to promote public policies and investments that advance a Culture of Health. The Learning Collaborative promotes family and child well-being by developing and informing supportive health policies and health practices, raising awareness of the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional disparities between different groups of young children and advancing knowledge of policies and programs that promote health equity for all children.
