Women’s Wealth and Health Equity Summit FAQs
Where will the Women’s Wealth & Health Equity Summit take place?
The summit will take place at Gaylord National Resort, which is located at 201 Waterfront St, Oxon Hill, MD in the Washington, D.C. National Harbor.
I have received a scholarship application, how do I book my air or train transportation?
If you have been approved for a travel scholarship, please email Chantelle.Andrews@corporatetraveler.us to book your travel by Thursday, July 6, 2017. Please use the subject header “Travel for the Women’s Wealth & Health Equity Summit.”
I have received a travel scholarship application. How do I book my hotel room?
If you have received a travel scholarship, your hotel arrangements have been made by CGPS on your behalf, and you should receive a confirmation from the hotel noting your check-in and check-out dates. Please note that check-in time is 4:00 p.m., and check-out time is 12:00 p.m. You may leave your luggage with the bell staff if you arrive ahead of your scheduled check-in time. You will be responsible for providing a credit or debit card on file once you check-in to cover any incidentals you may incur during your stay. You will not be charged for your hotel room.
What happens if I cancel my plans to attend after booking my hotel and travel through CGPS?
Please email arche.information@globalpolicysolutions.org if you need to cancel. Given the fact that transportation and hotels will not be refundable after booking, CGPS will assess a cancellation fee of $125 for all cancellations, which they will submit to you via an invoice for payment.
I have NOT been approved for a travel scholarship. Can I still book a hotel room at the host hotel?
Yes, you may contact the hotel directly to independently book your hotel room. If hotel rooms are not available at the Gaylord, other options for booking include the Westin National Harbor, Hampton Inn, or MGM Hotel.
What is the closest airport to the Gaylord National Resort?
We recommend arriving by plane into Reagan National Airport (DCA), which is approximately a 20-minute drive from the Gaylord National Resort. Other options for arrival include Dulles International Airport (1 hour drive) and Baltimore Washington International Airport (1 hour and 15 minute drive).
I’d like to travel by train. What is the best option for me to do so?
If traveling by train, please plan to arrive at Washington Union Station, which is approximately a 30-minute drive from the Gaylord National Resort via cab ride.
Will CGPS pay for my taxis and incidentals?
If you were approved for a travel scholarship, the Center for Global Policy Solutions will reimburse taxis to the hotel from your arriving airport/train station, as well as from the hotel to your departing airport/train station. Given that CGPS is providing meals for the Summit, we will not cover any additional meals incurred outside of this for attendees and guests. Please submit this reimbursement form to cgpsbills@bill.com within 15 days of the event. Payment will take approximately 3 weeks after submission to post to your account.
